POET Bioprocessing, located in Groton, SD, is the 16th bioethanol facility built by POET Design & Construction and the 10th to be managed by POET who began building them in the 1980s.

POET Bioprocessing - Groton is excited to be a part of the bioethanol industry and proud to bring even more value-added agriculture to the state of South Dakota.

POET Bioprocessing - Groton consumes approximately 18 million bushels of corn from the region with a capacity to produce 68 million gallons of bioethanol annually. We provides not only an environmentally friendly fuel, but also a high quality livestock feed for local, regional and national markets.

POET Bioprocessing - Groton is situated on 138 acres and employs 41 technical and professional positions to operate and manage this state-of-the-art, 7-day-a-week, 24-hours-a-day facility.
